Description of Duties
- Responsible for the architecture, design, and implementation of advanced IP telephony services to Business customers.
- Ability to properly evaluate, test, and scale LAN/WAN environments for the addition of VoIP and ensure the interoperability with existing switching and secure fire walling.
- Design Small/Medium/Enterprise scale call flow scenarios including: auto attendants, call centers, hunt groups, reception consoles, basic/advanced call flow.
- End user VoIP training.
- Advanced Network/VoIP troubleshooting.
- Provide exceptional 1st and 2nd level customer support.
Experience Required
- 2 or more years experience in small, medium, and large scale network environments.
- Advanced networking knowledge:
- IP Routing
- Network switching
- Firewall configurations
- Network connectivity
- DHCP
- BIND DNS (public and private)
- TFTP
- FTP
- Experience and understanding of enterprise level call flow.
- Strong knowledge of conventional telephony infrastructure.
- Proven track record of delivering complex software/hardware projects on schedule.
- Ability to work within cross-functional teams on a complex project.
- Knowledge of SIP and RTP protocols, both as defined in the standards and as used in practice.
- Excellent oral and written skills.
- Extremely process oriented.
Experience Preferred
- SIP, RTP; G.711 & G729 compression codecs
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux
Education Required
- BS in Computer Sciences and/or equivalent hands-on experience
